What is a gel nail polish?

It is a gel-based nail polish, that opposed to normal nail polish doesn't chip and only last 2 days, but in fact can last up to 2 - 3 weeks, depending on the individual.

What's the difference between Gelish and Logik gel nail polish?

Gelish and Logik are two different brands of gel nail polish, but the result itself is the same, with minimal differences in application and removal.

How long will it last?

Depending on how fast your nails grow and what you do with your hands (eg. wash a lot of dishes), it can last between one and a half to three weeks.

How is Gelish removed?

We'll remove it for you, but you can easily remove it at home. Simply file the shiny top coat off the nail until the surface is matt. You can use normal nail polish remover. Use little pieces of cotton wool and apply a little nail polish remover to it, then place on each nail. To avoid the acetone from evaporating, wrap each finger in alluminium foil. Keep on for ten to fifteen minutes. The Gelish should easily flake off, remove the residue with a little scraping tool. Avoid scratching the nail. Make sure to moisurize nail and hands afterwards.

How long does the treatment take?

A soak off takes approximately 20 minutes. Then the nails need to be prepared for the treatment, which adds another 10 minutes. The actual Gelish application will take about 45 minutes to an hour for your hands and 20 minutes for your feet.
In total you can expect 60 - 80 minute treatment time on a Gelish manicure and ca. 100 minutes for a mani and pedi, 120 minutes with a soak-off.

Fench manicure and nail art adds additional time to the treatment.

Does it damage my nails?

As opposed to acrylic nails or many other gel nail applications, there is no need to file on the nail. Therefore, depending on the proficiency of the person applying Gelish, it does no damage to your nails.
